How Do I Sign Into a UNCW-Owned PC for the First Time while Off-Campus?

Answer

All faculty, staff and students have the ability to sign into a UNCW-Owned PC for the first time, while not connected to the UNCW Network.
 

*Please note:  Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) must be completed prior to logging into a UNCW-Owned device. Instructions for setting up 2FA can be found in the "How do I Set up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) with Duo Mobile on my UNCW Account?" knowledge base article.

 

  1. At the Windows 10 login screen, click the Internet icon in the lower right corner and connect to your local network.

  2. Next, click the "Network sign-in" icon in the lower right corner to launch the Cisco AnyConnect VPN connection.

  3. Click "connect" and proceed with the 2FA login.
     

    TECH TIP: If you have questions about signing in with 2FA, please refer to the "How do I log in to the VPN with Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?" knowledge base article.

  4. Once the device has an established the VPN Connection, proceed with logging into the device using your UNCW username and password.​​​​
