How do I Connect my Wireless-Only Device to the Network? (e.g. Amazon Echo, Nintento Switch, Google Home, etc.)


All faculty, staff and students have the ability to connect a wireless-only device to the UNCW network. 

*Please note: Phones and laptops do not need to be registered. Additionally, these instructions require you to know your device's MAC address. Registration may not happen instantly.


Connecting your Wireless-Only Device:


  1. If your device does not have an Ethernet port and is "wireless-only," please locate your MAC address.
  2. Once you've located your MAC address, complete the form located here or contact the TAC via walk-in, chat, or call 910-962-4357.
  3. A ticket will be generated to get your device registered and connected to the network.
