How do I set up my Internet Explorer for Sharepoint and SSRS Web 2008 usage?

Answer

All faculty and staff have the ability to utilize SharePoint and SSRS Web 2008 through Internet Explorer.

  1. Open Internet Explorer.
     
  2. Click on "Tools," and then select "Internet Options" from the drop-down menu.
     
  3. Click on the "Security" tab, ensure that "Trusted sites" is highlighted, and then click the "Sites" button.
     
  4. Add "https://*.uncw.edu" and "http://*.uncw.edu" to the list. Ensure that the "Require server verification..." checkbox is unchecked.
     
  5. Close the "Trusted Sites" window.
     
  6. Click "Custom Level" under "Security level for this zone."

  7. Press the "M" key to jump down to "Miscellaneous." Make sure the "Access data sources across domains" option is set to "Enable."

  8. Scroll to the very bottom. Under the "User Authentication" section, ensure that "Automatic logon with current username and passoword" is selected.

  9. Click "OK" to close, and you're done!
