Answer

All faculty, staff and students have the ability to retrieve the computer name of their computer.

Computer Name on a Mac:
 

1. Click the Apple icon in the top left corner of the desktop.
    
2. Select "System Preferences."
   
   

3. Select "Sharing."
   
   
    
4. The computer's name will be displayed at the top of the "Sharing" window.

   Computer name of Windows PC:

1. Click the Magnifying Glass on the bottom left-hand side of your screen. 
    
2. In the search box, type "Computer."
    
3. Right-click on "This PC" from the search results, and select "Properties."
    
4. Under "Device specifications," you will see Device name. This is your computer name.
