Welcome to the myTAC portal!

Notice: Update to SharePoint & OneDrive File Sharing +

To better protect university information and give you more control over who can access your files, we’ve updated the sharing options in SharePoint and OneDrive. The ability to share a file using the “Anyone with the link” option has been removed. Previously, links created using this setting could be opened by anyone who received or was forwarded the link.

Removing the option to share with anyone provides an added layer of protection and helps prevent files and documents from being shared unintentionally. The change was approved by University leadership as part of our continued efforts to strengthen information security.

What This Means for You

Links you previously created using the “Anyone with the link” option may no longer work. If someone still needs access, please share the file with them again. When sharing files moving forward, please use the following guidance:

  • Sharing with someone outside the university: In the sharing link settings, select “Specific people” and choose the level of access you want to provide. Then, enter the recipient’s email address to share the file. The recipient will be asked to verify their identity using their email before they can access the file. For more information about what external recipients can expect, please review Microsoft’s instructions for external sharing.
  • Sharing within the university: You can continue sharing with individuals or existing university groups as usual.

We’re Here to Help
