Initial Invitation and Login

 

  1. When you receive the ChatGPT email, click the "JOIN workspace" button.

  2. Enter your UNCW email address in the field and then click "Continue."

  3. When asked, "How do you want to log in?" choose "UNC Wilmington ChatGPT EDU."
     
  4. If prompted, sign in using your UNCW credentials.


Subsequent Logins

 

  1. When prompted to log in, be sure to enter your UNCW email address and click "Continue."

  2. Go to ChatGPT and click "Log In" at the top-right or bottom-left of the screen.
     
  3. Complete the login with your UNCW credentials.


What if I already have a ChatGPT account?

 

  1. If you have an existing ChatGPT account using your UNCW email address, you will be given the option to transfer your chat history and GPT's to the UNCW workspace or to export and delete your chat history. Follow the prompts to complete.

  2. If you have a ChatGPT account using a different email address, you will have a new profile linked to your UNCW account. You can pick between accounts from the menu in the bottom left.

    *Please note: Always use your UNCW account when dealing with sensitive data.
