How do I Access Azure for Students (previously known as Azure Development Tools for Teaching)?

Answer

All students and faculty have the ability to access Azure for Students (previously known as Azure Development Tools for teaching). 

*Please note: This software is for academic purposes only and is not to be used for UNCW business. 

 

  1. To access Azure for Students, sign up here: Azure for Students.
     
  2. Click "Start Free" at the top. Enter information as required.
     
  3. Submit form and complete authentication steps as required.
     
  4. Once in Azure, click "Software."

  5. Search for the software you need.

  6. Select the software title in the "Name" column that best matches your search.
     
  7. Click "View Key," and copy the Product Key for the software, if applicable.

  8. Click the "Download" button.
     
  9. Save the file to your desktop.
     
  10. Open the file, and complete the installation steps, inputting the key if necessary.
     

*Please note: If you do not see the full list of software (~70 titles), Microsoft requires that you contact their support directly as opposed to contacting TAC.
