How do I Add Resources to a Project?

Answer

All faculty and staff have the ability to add resources to a project they manage.

  1. Log into TDNext and open the "Projects/Workspaces" tab.
     
  2. On the left panel of the screen, choose the project you wish to add resources.
     
  3. Next, choose "Manage," then "Resources." On the left panel of the screen, choose the project to which you wish to add resources.

  4. Click the green "Actions" button at the top of the screen and choose "Add Resources."

 

Additional Methods:
 

  1. On the "Resources" tab select the green "Actions" button and choose "Add Resources."
     
  2. If you know who you want on the team, begin typing their name in the "Name" field, and hit the green "Search" button at the top of the page. Be sure to check the box that says, "Include users whose capacity is not managed."

  1. Choose the resource from the screen that pops up, and then click "Next" to add them to the project.
     
  2. You may also view Resource Pools, on the same page as above, to add resources / members to your team.
     
  3. Click the magnifying glass beside the Resource Pool field.
     
  4. Choose a resource pool from the pop up window, shown in the screen shot below, by checking the box beside it. Then, click "Insert Checked" at top of window.

  5. Your chosen resource pool will appear in the field on the original screen.
     
  6. Next choose the green "Search" button at the top of the screen which will populate the screen with resources in the chosen pool.
     
  7. Choose the resource, and then click "Next" to add them to the project.

 

*Please note: Resources will need to have management approval before they are officially added to a project. The system will generate an email to management for approval.
