How do I find my device's Serial number or Service tag?
Answer
All faculty, staff and students have the ability to find their device's serial number or service tag.
UNCW - owned Laptop or Destop
- Dell: Service tags are located on a silver sticker on the case.
- Mac: Click on the Apple Icon located on the top-left portion of the screen. Select "About this Mac" to display the serial number.
Andriod Device
- From the Home screen, click the Settings icon. You may have to tap the Menu button, and then Settings.
- Scroll down and tap About Tablet or About Phone.
- Select Status, the Serial number or MEID should now be displayed.
iPhone, iPad and iPod
- From the Home screen, tap Settings.
- Tap General, then About. The Serial number should now be displayed.
