How do I email an entire class?

Answer

All faculty, staff and students have the ability email a class.

*Please note: The naming convention is "SUBJECTCATALOGSECTIONTERMMYY."

  1. Log in to your UNCW email in Outlook, and start composing a new email.
     
  2. Once the new email window opens, click on the "To..." button. This should bring up the Global Address Book.
     
  3. In the Address Book window, look for your class distribution list by typing the "subject," "catalog," "section," "term," and "year" the "Search" field. When searching for your class, don't include any hyphens in the name. 
    Example: The distribution list for PED-101-001 can be found by searching for PED101001S19.

  1. Double click on the appropriate course section, and it will appear in the "To->" box.

  1. Please be aware that you must be enrolled in the class to send emails to other students in the course. Instructors and TAs can also send to the class distribution lists.
