How do I Make Local, Long-Distance and International Calls, use Calling-Cards, or Contact the Campus Operator?

Answer

All faculty, staff and students have the ability to make local, long-distance and international calls, use calling-cards, or to contact the campus operator while using a campus phone. 

Phone Dialing Instructions
 

Local Calls:

  • Call an on-campus number: Dial the "2"+ the last four digits of their campus phone number. 
     
  • Call an off-campus number: Press "9" to dial out, and then dial the seven-digit phone number. 


Long Distance Calls:

  • Dial 9 + 1 + area code + seven-digit number.
     


Calling Card Calls:

  • Dial 1 + the toll free number on the back of your card.
     


International Calls:

  • Dial 9 + 011 + Country Code + City Code + number.
     


Campus Operator

  • From an on-campus phone line: Dial "0".
     
  • From an off-campus phone: Dial 910-962-3000.
