How do I use my mobile device in place of a TurningPoint clicker?


All faculty, staff and students have the ability to use their mobile device in place of a TurningPoint clicker.

To use the TurningPoint app:

  1. Download the TurningPoint app from the Apple store or the Android Play Store.
  2. Connect your subscription to the app. 
  • You do not  need to worry about getting a green check mark for this section of your TurningPoint account. You need only follow the instructions successfully to use a mobile device.

  1. Enter that session ID provided by your instructor.
  2. The TurningPoint app may log out if the device goes to sleep or a screen saver.
  • To prevent this, select "Menu," then "Settings," then "Prevent Auto-Lock."

To use TurningPoint in a browser:

  1. Go to the TurningPoint website here.
  2. Sign in to your account.

  3. Select the "Respond" tab at the top.

  4. Enter the session ID provided by your instructor.

*Please note: The TurningPoint app is free to download, however, you must still purchase or have a subscription to use the TurningPoint app or clicker. The same license can be used with both a clicker and the TurningPoint app. It is at the professor's discretion whether they allow mobile devices to be used or not. If the instructor chooses not to allow mobile devices then you will need to purchase a clicker to submit your responses.
