Banner Student Access (Registrar)


Why request this service?

This service is used to request new access (and modification of existing access) to Banner Student/Registrar as managed by the Office of the Registrar. Please note that this service request is just for Banner Student staff access. There are other service requests for access to Banner Finance, Banner HR, and other areas in the Banner group of the service catalog. Access to the Registrar area of SSRS will require the submission of a form.

What are the features of this service?

Grants campus users new access to Banner Student and allows users to request modifications to their existing Banner Student access. All access requests will grant query access to basic student information pages, the ability to look up student ID by name, etc. Additional access is spelled out by functional process or area and can be selected as needed.

Who can request this service?

Faculty and staff. Students will only be granted access if they are a student workers in an office that uses Banner Student and there is a staff sponsor.

*Please note: Requests must be approved by the submitter so that they may agree to UNCW security policies. The department head of the submitter must also approve the request. After 30 days, if the request has not been approved by both the employee and the department head, the request will be canceled and a new request will need to be submitted.
Approvals are only needed for NEW requests to Banner Student. If it’s an access change within Banner Student we should already have the approvals logged.
