How do I use Qualitrics to Create Surveys?

All faculty, staff and students have the ability to create Qualtrics Surveys.
 

Creating a Qualtrics Survey

 

  1. To use Qualtrics, start by signing in to Qualtrics.

    *Please note: Visitors that wish to use Qualitrics must submit the Survey Software New Access and Transfer Request Form.

  2. Login with your UNCW email credentials to begin. 
     
  3. To create a survey, click the "Create new project."
     
  4. Choose to Create a survey from scratch or use a delivered template. 
     
  5. Give the survey a title that identifies your department and the survey topic and create the project.
    Example: "ITS Horizon Software Survey"  
     
  6. Select "Create Project."
     
  7. Insert questions.
     
  8. When complete, the survey can be previewed before deploying. 
     
  9. Make sure to go through the "options" to set an accurate Start/End date; the survey is automatically closed to the public on the End date. 
     
  10. When you're finished editing, click the "Publish" box to launch the survey and get the URL to the survey. 

    TECH TIPS: 

    • You can log in at any time to analyze your data.
    • The Data & Analysis option will also let you export your results to multiple file types.
    • Questions and responses cannot be restored once surveys are deleted.
    • You should make backups of your survey on your local machine.
