How do I Resolve Issues with Blank Monitors Connected to a Docking Station After a Power Outage?

All faculty, staff and students have the ability to resolve this issue.
 

*Please note: Following a power outage or surge, your monitors connected to a docking station may be blank. Please try these steps in order. These steps may also resolve issues with the monitor picture being off-center.

  1. Disconnect your laptop from the docking station.
     
  2. Disconnect the power supply from the back of the docking station and wait 30 seconds.
     
  3. Reconnect the docking station power supply.
     
  4. Reconnect the laptop to the docking station.
