How Do I Log In to My UNCW-Owned Mac Using Jamf Connect?

All faculty, staff and students have the ability to log in to their UNCW-owned Mac using JAMF Connect.
 

*Please note: UNCW uses Jamf Connect to manage logins on UNCW-owned Mac computers. It allows you to sign in using the same UNCW username and password you use for email, mySeaport, and other campus services, helping to keep your account in sync.

Log in using JAMF Connect
 

  1. When you restart your UNCW-owned Mac, the first screen you’ll see is the FileVault 2 login window.

  2. After entering your UNCW username and password, FileVault 2 encryption will unlock, and you will see the Jamf Connect login window.

  3. Verify that you are connected to a network by clicking the blue wireless icon in the top-right corner.

    TECH TIP: If you are on campus, you must connect to SehawkGuest. If you choose HawkWifi and attempt to log in, you will receive a prompt that your password is incorrect. 

  4. If you are on campus, switch to HawkWiFi after logging in. If you are off campus, your Mac will stay connected to your preferred network.


Log in Using Jamf Connect if You Are Offline
 

  1. Click the computer icon in the top-right corner of your screen, located to the left of the clock.

  2. This will open the local login window so you can sign in with your credentials.
