Service Overview

Technology support, services and room reservations for virtual classroom tools (Skype, Zoom, etc.), videoconferencing, lecture capture, and streaming media technologies for academic classes (hybrid/online/face to face), meetings, interviews or related ad hoc requests.

Submit a ticket to reserve a distance education classroom to use features such as Zoom, Skype, video conferencing, streaming media tools for classes interviews, & meetings.

Features

Faculty, staff, and students can reserve the following services:

1. DE classrooms with virtual classroom/videoconferencing technology (e.g. Skype, Zoom, etc.) for classes, guest lectures, subject matter experts, thesis defenses, committee meetings, UNCGA meetings, etc.
2. DE classrooms with recording and live/on-demand streaming technologies for classes, lectures, presentations, special events, etc.
3. Mobile equipment (cameras/microphones/recorders) for classes/events across campus requiring Skype, Zoom, or similar types of video collaboration tools.
4. All recordings of classes, programs, and events can be managed by faculty and made accessible via Canvas.

Getting Started

Please click the "submit a ticket" button and include the following information:

1. Description
2. Date needed
3. Start/End time
4. # of local participants 
5. Location (if mobile equipment is required)

Fees/Additional Costs

No charges to academic departments for classes or academic support programs. No charges to administrative departments during regular business hours.
