How do I Access the SSRS Web reports portal?

Faculty and staff with access to SSRS have the ability to access SSRS Web reports portal.

Running your Reports:

  1. To access the SSRS Web reporting portal, open a browser of your choosing (Chrome is strongly recommended) and navigate to the myUNCW/Work Info page (, expand "e-Resources" and select “SSRS Web Reports” or navigate to Reporting Access Request Forms.
  2. The SSRS Web reporting portal is a web-based interface that provides user-level access to reports. A person’s individual security access predetermines which folders are shown.
  3. To execute a report, click on the appropriate folder, followed by the name of the report. If a username prompt appears, then enter your reporting database credentials.
  4. Some reports will not generate until you enter the required parameters. For example, for a report requesting a Fiscal Year, type the fiscal year value in the box and then click the "View Report" button. The report generates with the output displayed on your screen. Depending on the amount of data that is being processed, the report may take several minutes or just a few seconds to execute.
  5. If desired, you can choose to export your data. To do so, simply select the appropriate format from the “Export drop down menu.”

My Favorites:

  1. To enable favorites find your report, click on the ellipsis (three dots) in the upper right hand corner and select "Add to Favorites."
  2. Now when you are in the SSRS Web home directory and click on the Favorites tab, you will see your report.
  3. You will also notice that in your folder your "favorite" report is annotated with a star.
