All faculty, staff and students have the ability to manage their Spam settings.
 

For UNCW emails sent to an Internet email account:

You will need to add the UNCW email address to your Internet email contacts list or create a filter to prevent the message from being sent to your Spam or Junk folder. Follow the instructions below for your appropriate email provider.
 

  1. For Gmail, see section "Unmark an email as Spam."
     
  2. For Yahoo, see section "Mark emails as Not Spam."
     
  3. For Windows Live Hotmail/MSN or Outlook, see section "Stop messages from going into your Junk Email folder.

For UNCW emails sent as lists, groups, solicitations, marketing campaigns and general bulk email messages:

 

  1. Please reference our What are the Email Limitations & Policies at UNCW? for guidelines and assistance.
     
  2. Microsoft recommends using a 3rd party for sending bulk email/mass email. 
     
  3. The sending account may be blocked from sending email by Microsoft (or other receiving mail servers) if bulk email is detected or determined to be spam or malicious.
