How do I install Read & Write Literacy Software on a PC?

All Faculty, Staff and Students are licensed to use this Read&Write literacy software.

 

UNCW-Owned Windows PC:
 

  1. Read&Write literacy software is available for installation via Software Center.
     
  2. If you need further instructions on how to use Software Center, please read the "How do I Use Software Center (PC) and Self Service (Mac) on my UNCW-owned machine?" knowledge base article.
     

     

Personally-Owned Windows PC:
 

*Please note: To install Read&Write, you need to have administrative rights to your personal machine.

 

  1. Click here to begin an automatic download of Read&Write literacy software.
     
  2. Once downloaded, navigate to your device's download location and run the application (read&write.exe).

  3. Review the End User License Agreement (EULA) and install by clicking the "Accept and Install" button.

  4. Once installation is completed, launch program from desktop icon.

  5. The application toolbar will open. Click anywhere to sign-in.

  6. Select "Sign in with Microsoft."

  7. Enter your UNCW email address:  <username>@uncw.edu

    Microsoft360 Sign in window. Please sign in with UNCW email address.
     
  8. Select "Work or school account." Enter your UNCW password and choose whether or not to stay signed in.

  9. Installation and activation are now complete.
