All faculty, staff and students have the ability to configure Speed Dials on their phone.
Configuring Speed Dials from the Self Care Portal.
*Please note: Speed dials must be configured via the Self Care Portal. You must also first be connected to the Virtual Private Network (VPN) if you are off campus in order to use the Phone Self Care Portal.
- Visit the Phone Self Care Portal
- On the left of the page, click on "Phone Settings."
- Click on "Speed Dial Numbers."
- Click on "Add New Speed Dial."
- Fill in the "Add Speed Dial Box" as explained below:
*Please note: You can create speed dials for phone numbers outside of UNCW by entering 9 + the 10 digit number. This includes cell phone numbers. If you wish to add a speed dial for a number internal to UNCW, simply enter the 5 digit extension.
- Number/URL: Phone number of the speed dial to be added.
- Label (Description): Desired name for the speed dial.
- Speed Dial: Put in the next speed dial number that is available.
- Click "Save."
