How do I Log In to My UNCW Account for the First Time?


All faculty, staff and students have the ability to log in to their UNCW accounts.

*Please note: It may take 24 business hours for student accounts to become active after viewing your decision letter.

After successfully logging in to mySeaport for the first time, change your password by following the KB article: How do I Change my UNCW Account Password through the Password Change Portal?


  1. Locate your UNCW Account information:
    • Undergraduate students
      • Undergraduate students - After viewing your admission decision, your account and initial password information are in the right-hand "First Time Logging In?" sidebar of the Admissions Portal.

        To view your admission decision, log in with the email address and password you used when applying to UNCW. Then, under the highlighted "Status Update" header on the top of the page, select "View Update >>."

        TECH TIP: The "Status Update" header is shown only after an admission decision has been made.

      • Undergraduate international students - The Office of International Students & Scholars will provide your account and initial password information.
    • Graduate students -  Your account and initial password information are on the second page of your decision letter.
    • Faculty, staff & guests - As part of the onboarding process, your account and initial password information will be sent in a welcome email to the personal email address given on your job application. If you are an existing faculty or staff member taking classes, you will use your current UNCW faculty/staff email for coursework.
  2.  Log in to mySeaport with the provided email address (e.g., and password. 
  3. You will be prompted to set up your Self-Service Password Reset and set up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).
  4. If your password is not working after 24 hours, please submit the Report an issue with your UNCW Account service request.
    Please know that you will be required to verify your identity.
