How do I Log In to My UNCW Account for the First Time?


All faculty, staff and students have the ability to log in to their UNCW account.

*Please note: It may take up to 24 business hours for student accounts to become active after receiving an acceptance letter. 


  1. Locate your UNCW Account information:
    • Students - your account information can be found in the Admissions' Portal.
    • Faculty, staff and guests - will receive your account information in a welcome email sent to your personal email address.
  2. Visit, and log in with the username and password. 
  3. You will be prompted to setup your Self-Service Password Reset and set up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).
  4. If your password is not working after 24 hours, please submit the Report an issue with your UNCW Account service request. Please know that you will be required to verify your identity.
