How Do I Authenticate with 2FA if I Don't Have Access to My Registered Device?


All faculty, staff and students who are enrolled in Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) will need access to their registered device to be able to authenticate.

*Please note: If you do not have access your 2FA registered device, you will need a temporary passcode, which you can obtain by following the instructions below. 


  1. Submit a Two-Factor Authentication Support request or CHAT with TAC.

  2. You will need to verify your identity with the TAC. Verification must be done visually. It requires you to show a government or school issued photo ID via a video call.
  3. After verification, the TAC will assign you a temporary passcode.

  4. Attempt to log in normally, and when the authentication fails, click the button for "Enter a Passcode."

  5. Use the temporary passcode provided by the TAC to authenticate.

*Please note: TAC will never ask you for your password, nor will they ever need to know it. If anyone knows your password for any reason please change it as soon as possible.
